Frequently asked questions about Ideasforge

20 questions

What is Ideasforge?

Ideasforge is a company that builds custom artificial intelligence for businesses. It designs AI agents, automations, conversational assistants, internal knowledge systems and architectures connected to real processes and systems.

What kinds of companies work with Ideasforge?

Ideasforge works mainly with companies that need AI solutions integrated with their data, tools and processes. The best fit usually shows up in organizations with volume, several applications, a lot of documentation or repetitive processes.

Does Ideasforge sell off-the-shelf software?

No. Ideasforge builds custom solutions when an off-the-shelf tool doesn’t properly cover the process. If a suitable market solution exists, building from scratch isn’t always the best option.

Does Ideasforge build projects from scratch?

Yes. It can take part from identifying the use case and the architecture through to development, integration, deployment and monitoring of the system.

Does Ideasforge also do AI consulting?

Yes. Consulting can be used to analyze processes, data and systems, identify use cases, prioritize projects and decide what’s worth building.

Does Ideasforge only build AI agents?

No. Ideasforge also builds automations, assistants over documentation, conversational agents, integrations and other AI software solutions.

Does Ideasforge work with generative AI?

Yes, when it makes sense for the problem. It also combines language models with conventional software, business rules, databases, APIs and other technologies.

Does Ideasforge work with large companies?

Yes. Our solutions are designed for organizations with several systems, teams, permissions, data sources and complex processes.

Can Ideasforge work on top of existing software?

Yes. A large part of the projects involves connecting AI to ERPs, CRMs, databases, internal applications, APIs, document management systems and other systems already in place.

Does Ideasforge replace existing tools?

Not necessarily. In many projects AI is added as a layer on top of the current infrastructure to make access, interpretation or automation easier.

Does Ideasforge only work on artificial intelligence projects?

No. Although AI is part of many projects, we also build integrations, automations and conventional software logic when they’re needed for the system to work properly.

Can Ideasforge take charge of a project’s full architecture?

Yes. It can take part in defining the architecture, integrations, models, permissions, storage, observability and business rules.

Does Ideasforge only work in Spain?

No. We work from Spain with companies subject to European regulation, wherever they are.

Does Ideasforge work per project or through ongoing maintenance?

Both. The build is paid once and, if you want us to stay on, a monthly fee of €150 to €500 pays for weekly monitoring and maintenance. The fee has no minimum term and the system doesn’t shut down if you cancel it, because the repository and the infrastructure are already in your name.

Can Ideasforge work alongside a company’s in-house technical team?

Yes. It can work with IT, product, data or operations teams or outside vendors to integrate the solution into the existing architecture.

Can Ideasforge take on only one technical part of the project?

Yes. It can step in on architecture, development, integration, evaluation or automation without having to take on every phase.

Does Ideasforge use one specific technology in every project?

No. The technology is chosen based on the problem, the existing systems, the security requirements and the operating cost.

Does Ideasforge build prototypes?

Yes, when a prototype makes it possible to validate a hypothesis before building the full solution. The prototype’s goal must be clearly defined.

Can Ideasforge turn an existing prototype into a production system?

Yes, if the architecture allows it. In some cases parts of the prototype may need to be redesigned to add controls, traceability, permissions or scalability.

Does Ideasforge offer support after launch?

Yes. What’s in production is reviewed every week and every change passes a test suite before it goes out. That monitoring and the maintenance are paid for by the monthly fee, which has no minimum term.
